Laurel Foodsystems, Inc. began as American Vending & Food Service, a Pennsylvania Corporation, 100% locally owned.
Tom Diffendal Sr. started American Vending in
1974 with the purchase of ten used coffee vending machines.

In
1986 American Vending purchased the local branch of the national vending Company Service America, adding branches in Butler PA and Wheeling WV.
In
1997 American Vending Purchased operating in southwest PA, purchased Laurel Vending adding branches in Morgantown, Brockway,
Greensburg and Johnstown, we changed our name at this time to Laurel Foodsystems to differentiate us as the largest regional operator in Pennsylvania.
In
2003 Laurel continued to expand Eastward acquiring Faith Vending in Altoona PA. With this acquisition, we are able to cover half of the state of Pennsylvania.
In
2008 Laurel Foodsystems became a franchise of Canteen Corporation and purchased some of the business of struggling Bev-O-Matic.
In
2012 continuing to innovate, Laurel Foodsystems became the regional franchise of Company Kitchen, which offers retail convenience
shopping locations to businesses in our market area.
